Is it stupid to buy passes for people just to go together?
Post Body

I bought a universal studios neighbor pass for $170 for 11 months which is nothing to me, it’s like how you might have a Netflix account and I don’t so I have universal instead.

I also bought it for my girlfriend to go together and that I’m more or less okay with.

But today my male friend said they wanted to be out. Being a people pleaser the only place I could think of that’s decent is universal, and he hasn’t gone in over 10-15 years.

I was tempted to buy it for him (I picked up an extra shift this weekend and even basically got the pass amount from being on-call, not working), but instead of paying I tried and asked if he was willing to buy a pass, and he said no but would go to city walk instead. He said that would be like paying $170 for two rides.

This leaves me with just the option of paying $170 to take him or just going with my girlfriend. I make more than him if that makes a difference but he also is willing to spend hundreds of dollars on other stuff
