I genuinely don't know the answer
Post Body

I need help. Am i in the wrong? I don’t drive yet, but my job is only a 30-minute walk or a 4-minute drive. Recently, it’s been freezing, snowing, or raining, so I’ve been asking my mom for a ride to work. A little side note: my mom doesn’t work, so it’s not like it’s an inconvenience or out of her way. But every time she gives me a ride, she asks for $5 for “gas money” or “bills.” The thing is, she always ends up getting McDonald’s every morning, so I’m starting to feel like that $5 isn’t actually going to gas or bills. When I tell her no, she refuses to take me, and even if I give her the $5, she still brings me to work late.

I’m just wondering if I’m wrong for not wanting to give her money anymore. It feels unfair because that $5 is clearly not covering gas, and it seems like she always has enough money for cigarettes, weed, and fast food. Meanwhile, my boyfriend’s parents live two roads down from me, and they give me rides for free.

On top of that, I also pay her $50 a week for “bills,” and my sister has to pay her $100 a week for the same. It just doesn’t feel right, especially when she’s always got money for other things and i work hard for my money and i really dont make enough to keep giving her 5$ everyday plus 50 a week to save up for anything. Am I being unreasonable for feeling frustrated about this?
