Why is the idea of successfully raising a child the peak of success for some people?
Post Body

I kind of feel like a lot of people view raising a child successfully as the peak of success in life. Like, they view that as the number 1 goal of success as the end of the day. For example, when a professional athlete has a son/daughter who becomes a professional athlete they view that as better/cooler than their own careers.

I guess I've never had that mindset at all. So, I was trying to understand it.
