Has a herbivore (or conversely a carnivore) every suddenly switched to the a carnivore (conversely herbivore)?
Post Body

Maybe it's a stupid question, but I was thinking that even if nothing biologically changed with a species, a super hungry horse (and maybe unusually smart for it's breed) may have watched carnivores eating an animal, and then replicated the behavior / trained it's children on said behavior... And this behavioral trait have them a evolutionary advantage etc.

It seems to me in some cases that a sudden switch might be possible.
