received automated message after second interview a week ago

I applied to a logistics company and got through 2 interviews (phone and office in person). During the phone interview the recruiter said that I will be hearing back from HER specifically this week. Even the office managers said that.

Well this morning I got a standard email that says “Etc etc we looked at your APPLICATION and decided to move forward” the thing is I got the same email for another position from the same company that I applied for a month ago but didn’t even interview for.

I did my due diligence and reached out to the recruiter. What is going on?
