Why do a lot of meats taste like chicken?

I don’t understand why there are so many meats that people describe as tasting like chicken. For example rabbit is described as tasting like chicken, so as snake, crocodile etc.
So what makes them all taste the same/similar when none of them are related. Like pork tastes like pork, lamb tastes like lamb, beef tastes like beef.
