does therapy REALLY work???
Post Body

iā€™m asking this bc iā€™ve seen so many ppl who are hell bent on telling ppl w issues to ā€œjust get therapy.ā€ maybe an unpopular opinion here but i feel like telling someone, especially someone u donā€™t really know, to just go to therapy for their issues is kinda dismissive bc one, therapy doesnā€™t work for everybody in the same way that going to the gym, meditating, doing yoga, also does not work for everyone and two, not everyone can afford therapy. yet it seems like ppl are looking at therapy as a one size fits all kinda thing, but surely thatā€™s not the truth. yes, i am aware that therapy has helped lots of ppl, hell itā€™s even saved lives but i think itā€™s important to advise people that therapy is not the only way to heal. like i said, other things like yoga, journaling, venting to friends and family, going to the gym can be just as effective in my opinion. but then again im no expert so maybe my take means nothing. idk, feel free to come for me or enlighten me in the comments (:
