23M here; I've just started going to the Gym (as of early December), and so far, I honestly don't see how people like it. I don't get that "thrill" or whatever when I finish a set, I just feel exhausted. My only motivation so far is a) fear that in my 30s / 40s my health will be in the toilet if I don't do some muscle building / cardio, and b) the fact that I'm paying money for this thing.
But this has lead to an inconsistent routine - I don't look forward to this, and I can't bring myself to go more than 3x a week. Like. How do people like making their muscles scream with pain multiple times a week? And they go back for more?
