How can I train myself to stop chugging water and start sipping it throughout the day?

I chug around 1.7l of water but I only have 4 drinks throughout the day. I feel dehydrated all the time and it's because chugging the water means I'm passing most of it out before I even made use of it, but the chugging is an impulse control thing. How do I train myself not to?
