How do police, firefighters, etc stand stuff like natural disasters?
Post Body

Like Southern California is on fire right now, again. There is a demand for help. Police and firefighters are likely called in to do hart work in the middle of the night

My desire after work is to get home and avoid any discomfort/change.

In fact my friend said he was miserable 5 minutes after his power went out.

The last thing I would want to do is deal with a disaster.

I’m in the medical field and even in that setting when there is a high demand we want to go home. I know coworkers who say too bad for patients that need to get discharged and make they stay another night because they already reached their required amount of tasks. I get it because how much demand can we fulfill but still.

Or I know medical workers who call in sick when there’s very heavy scary rain pouring just to avoid a bad day

But police and firefighters are working outside in the heavy rain?
