Admittedly, I'm no expert on either, but they seem extremely similar; they were wars waged by America in Asia during the mid-20th Century in order to stop the spread of communism. And, tragically, most people agree that they were fought in vain, with no change to the status quo except for the millions of deaths and casualties on both sides.
