Would you stay clear of someone with a cold sore?
Post Body

Girlfriend of 2 months told me not to kiss her because she had a cold sore (caught a cold a few days ago), and pointed at something at the side of her lip.

I get canker sores but that’s not the same thing as a cold sore. I’ve never had an outbreak on my lips, and it’s always something that’s terrified me.

After she told me I started to freak out a bit. I eventually said I had to do something and left.

I feel heart broken that I left and considering not seeing her again for fear of getting that myself for life (even though they say it’s very common).

I need some advice and rational thinking because I can think straight right now
