This is kind of more like a concern rather than an explicit mention of my nightmares but basically im constantly on my phone before i sleep and now i've adapted that if i don't fall asleep by scrolling on my phone until the point where i cant keep my eyes a second longer, and i try to sleep the natural way ( putting my phone down and closing my eyes to slowly drift off to sleep) I will have nightmares. and more specifically these nightmares usually start out normal dreams and then it turns into nightmares, so I try waking up but then the nightmare is still here but now just in my current bedroom setting, and ill try again and again to wake up until something finally wakes me up. What i've realized is when i try to wale up i actually do for like a split second but i just fall back asleep and back into that nightmare. And an example is seeing a dark figure, hearing voices and laughing, hearing screaming or random voices whispering. This genuinely terrifies me and i wake up with my heart beating like crazy and im paranoid if im even in reality or if ill still in my nightmares. another thing is if i try to fall back asleep within 20-30 minutes i will fall right back into that same nightmare meaning i have to wait till i can sleep. Can someone please explain why this happens of if it has happened to anyone else because its a little annoying.
