You'd have to be able to 1) afford tik tok and 2) manage to run it well. To me that appears to leave only Meta and Google. Sure, Amazon or Apple can afford them but the app doesn't really seem to align with those companies. From a national security perspective, the Chinese government wielding the power of TikTok does seem insane, but it also seems insane to force a sale of a company when only a handful of other US companies can actually afford them. It kind of feels like the US government lining the pockets of an already enormous US corporation.
