I feel like whenever I have ear buds in, my family suddenly needs to talk to me.

This may be dumb, but does anyone else feel this? Whenever I have my earbuds in and I’m listening to music, every 5 minutes my family needs to talk to me all the sudden which means I have to pause my music and turn off sound cancellation. It’s kinda annoying.
