Why do people on Reddit get all up in arms on using "average" vs "median" when it comes to statistics?
Post Body

I've noticed a lot in discussions about income about a certain place or house prices people always call out when someone uses "average" vs "median"? What's the real difference beyond just different statistics and why is median considered better?
