How do you deal with a sibling who is very defensive about not disclosing their current and future life plan?

Sibling feels directionless, I believe. She is an adult, but is set behind with extremely low high school grades and wants to go to university. Constantly says she has it under control until time comes and she says she is stressed and sets herself behind further or sees that her grades aren’t improving.
While I was in the same situation, I was kinda keeping my parents more in check with how and what I was doing. I managed to graduate with a decent average.
