The last few years the topic of internal monologues has been increasingly popular I guess, which has led to me being asked multiple times how I can think of I don't have an internal monologue. I'm actually a little confused about how having one works, so I had some questions.
Does it ever get confusing and overwhelming having all of that going on in your head? I do get distracted by things around me, but never really what's going on in my head really.
Do you have to think about what you're going to say, internally I mean, before you say it? There are a handful of situations where I prepare myself, but for the most part I don't think about what I'm going to say
How on earth do you think about things you don't understand or have the words for if you have to think in words. If you're trying to grasp a concept or unique idea that is foreign to you, and you're unfamiliar with the language around it, are you able to still think about those ideas if you don't have words to describe them? I often do, and then someone will just tell me what those things are later.
