In "Enter the Dragon", when Bruce Lee's character told his student to kick with "emotional content, not anger", did he not immediately contradict himself?

After all, anger is an emotion, and since he asked his student to kick with "emotional content", being angry put emotion - in this case, anger - into his kicks.
