just a "little" bit of background.
Between electricians there's a debate about which method of connecting wires is the best. There are several ways to connect Wiers but the 2 largest camps are Team "Wago 221" and Team "wire nuts"
Just for transparency: I'm team "Wago 221"
The argument for wagos are their eas of use. You only need to strip the wires the somewhat correct length, lift a couple of leaver insert the wires and close the leavers and your connection is done. It's hard to describe 100% in text but a 4 year old could learn how to use them properly in just a couple of minutes and most of that time will be learning them to strip wire.
The argument for wire nuts is also it's eas of use plus their simple design. They look like a plastic thimble. You strip the wires an appropriate length, bundle Them upp and insert them in the nut and then twist the nuts until it feels tight and if done right (not too thigt and not too loose) you have a really good connection that is better than the Wago
But here in lies the issue, "If done right..."
I've seen a lot of issues coming from these nuts mostly loose connections that just fall off.
TL:DR So what do you call this fallacy of comparison when you compare things done right but not take into account how easy it is to do it correctly?
