Why is finding practical recipes seemingly so difficult?
Post Body

So many recipes seem to expect you to devote a ton of time to something that is barely going to improve your dish, or do something in an unnecessarily complicated way.

This is a big reason I actually like Adam Ragusea. Most of his recipes are done in a very practical manner. I searched everywhere for a basic tomato sauce recipe and couldn't find one until I saw his: Crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, onions and garlic- done with common pantry ingredients (which will last weeks if not months). So simple. Why can't I find more recipes like that? Are people just going off what their parents or grandparents taught them, because mine never taught me shit about cooking.
