Why do I get bored so easily, especially with food and music? I listen to some pretty unconventional genres to keep things fresh and avoid predictability, as I hate pop and pop rock for being repetitive. I enjoy rock and have been listening to bands like Math the Band, The Cat Empire, Charles Mingus, The Kings of Nuthin, Ornette Coleman, and Dick Dale, but I constantly get bored and have to seek out new music. It's the same with food—I quickly tire of the same meals and often experiment by adding lots of spices for more complexity. Strangely, though, I never get bored of rewatching the same few sitcoms over and over and over again. Could this be related to autism, or does anyone else struggle with things staying the same?
