I recently got a job offer that requires me to be a current student, but I’m really anxious about how the background check will handle my situation. I’m set to start classes this upcoming semester at UH, but I took a gap semester while transitioning from community college to university.
I’ve already talked to admissions, and they said they would vouch for me if HireRight calls to verify my student status. But I can’t stop worrying about how this will play out. Does HireRight even make phone calls to verify, or do they use other methods? Could the gap semester raise any red flags?
This whole process has me overthinking, and I’m scared this might mess up my chance at the job. Has anyone dealt with something like this before?
