Post Body

I wanted to share something from my personal experience because I feel like it might help someone else understand a similar situation.

There were a few times in my life—about three, to be specific—where I couldn’t be intimate with someone, even though I had a strong desire to. Looking back, I realized the reason was that I was in love with someone else. It wasn’t a conscious decision, but their thoughts would come into my head at the worst moments, and it completely blocked me from going through with it.

I think this might explain why some people struggle during intimacy. It’s like your mind and heart are somewhere else, and no matter how much you want to be present, you just can’t force it.

Has anyone else experienced this?
