I am not referring to British subjects generally or vaguely, but I am talking about the specific type of British nationality formally known as British subjects. I know the technical rules for becoming a British subject, but I was just wondering, in reality, what is the distribution of backgrounds of the people who do hold British subject status these days? As in, where are their parents from, where are they from, and what are the circumstances under which they qualified for this status? Thank you for your answers.
