Does it matter which photo you are looking at when you share post in message

Hi, if you are looking at the n-th photo of an Instagram post and you share the post with a friend via Instagram DM using the paper airplane button, will the thumbnail of the shared post in DM be the n-th photo, or will it always be the 1st photo of that post? Thank you for your answers.
