In the west, people tend to address parents, grandparents, or siblings of parents by only title (such as father, aunt, grandparents, etc.) While most other people use their first name. However, in many eastern cultures and languages there actually are similar titles for older siblings or even older friends, while first name is only used for those younger. Are there any cultures where addressing parents by given name is normal, and they'd find English using only a title peculiar in the way English speakers may find Asian languages that address older siblings only by title to be odd?
