Has anyone ever swapped courses to a very different subject? (English University)

Want to go from computer science to business (first year) think my only hope is the fact they offer a minor in computing with business that carries over some of my current modules. I have no idea actually if they’d even let me do that because I need to speak to my course director but they refuse to see me
