In countries where rich people can pay poor people to sit in jail for them, why don’t the rich just bond out?

I’ve heard this years ago and I just recently remembered this fun fact. Apparently in some countries rich people can pay poor people to sit in jail for them to sit out their sentence or whatever. As absurd as this seems I heard it on the internet and as everybody already knows you can’t lie on the internet, so I’m inclined to believe this is actual factual. Anyway, why don’t they just bond out of the jail? Do you think these countries have a law where bonding out is prohibited, but letting someone else take the punishment is allowed?
