Why is being kind seen as being clueless or naive ?
Post Body

I'm a 26M and ive had my fair share of misery up until this age. I could be a very bitter and resentful person if I had really let myself go (people who know me and my story have said they're surprised how I turned out after all that ive been through). Yet, I choose to be kind, positive, private with my issues and smile more often.

it seems though, that, some people view my personality as naive-like since im very positive and smiley. It's gotten to the point where im starting to believe this is why I don't have friends and why my coworkers don't like spending time with me after work but they will with each other.

Looking for advice.
