Why are mice not seen as cute by most people, when we generally find small furry animals cute?
Post Body

I'm not afraid of mice. They're just animals like you and me that are trying to live their life. But, when I look at pictures of mice, I struggle to see them as being cute. If I look at pictures of hamsters, or rabbits, or kittens, my immediate thought is "aw, how cute!" However, I don't get the same feelings when I look at most pictures of mice. There are a handful I've seen that have elicited that response, but for the most part I don't really feel much when I look at them.

From what I gather, even that is unusual. Most people seem to look at mice as being scary, or disgusting. Even pictures of mice can make people very uncomfortable. It seems weird, because they seem to fit our rules for what we usually consider to be cute. Small, round(ish), tiny paws, tiny face, big ears, tiny noses. But for some reason, most people don't see them as cute.

And yes, I'm anticipating some comments of people saying "I think mice are cute", but even if you do, you must acknowledge for the most part that mice are generally less likely to be seen as cute than other small animals.
