Why do I (21F) get crippling anxiety around older, dominant, and masculine men?

Hoping for some cool psychological answer. I’ve noticed this a lot with my professors especially, especially ones I am attracted to but they don’t have to be good looking- but mostly when I have to approach them or talk to them. In any other setting, these kind of men just make me really nervous, but not in a fearful way. Kind of random, just curious.
