Why did homosexuality become much more accepted between the 2000s and 2010s?
Post Body

I mean, less than 20 years ago gay marriage was a very controversial issue. I remember a family member in the late 90s parroting the words of some televangelist who claimed that the Tellytubbies was gay propaganda, because the purple one had a purse and a triangle on its head. Homophobia was everywhere.

But sometime between 2010 and 2020 everything shifted. Obviously homophobia was and still is a thing, but it's a lot less prevalent. What caused such a massive cultural shift?
