Do professional sports still inflate some players height etc?
Post Body
So I'm a pretty average size guy. 6ft 195 lbs. Live in a major city with several pro sports teams and a big national college football program. I was in the higher end of the bar and restaurant industry for most of the 2000's. And we'd get guys from football, hockey, basketball, baseball and soccer. Aside from the basketball guys and linemen from football it always seemed like their stats never matched up with reality. Like a guy I was eye level with announcers would say was 6'3", or some dude that was 2" shorter was 6' or whatever. Not to disparage these guys. No matter what height they have ridiculous physical abilities far beyond mine. Just don't know why whatever sport would encourage that? And if it still goes on.
