Can you be yourself, when you don't know who that is?
Post Body

I ask this question because people always say that you have to be yourself. But I struggle to describe myself. I live in the Bahamas. But I am not a Bahamian. I read books. But I don't know that that makes me an intellectual. I work out. But I am not an athlete. I am a closeted trans woman. So I live as a man. But I am not one, at least, I don't think so. Every descriptor of me seems to contain its own negation. So there isn't any obvious way to connect with or relate to others. What am I missing?
