Should i attend or not?

My BF introduced me to his group of friends. One of the girl is totally in love with him since years (nothing never happened between them, he doesn't even find her attractive).
She's throwing a party at her place on Friday and invited us/me.
My opinion is that she only invited me because she felt obliged to, but it will give her a bad time if I come... I will also feel uncomfortable as her sympathy will be fully fake. So I told my BF i will not attend.
