I’m in my 30s and newly single and recently started messaging again with a high school classmate. We were close friends at 14 but then had a bad argument and had little contact again until he randomly messaged me last week to apologize.
Since then we’ve been talking a lot about our lives and what we’ve been up to and I’ve been enjoying our conversations a lot. He lives in another state but we’ve talked about meeting up when he comes to visit in the new year. However I really only want to be friends for various reasons and I’m getting worried he’s going to try and pursue more and I don’t want to be accused of leading him on or anything.
The reasons I think he may be pursuing more are he confessed that he had a huge crush on me in high school. I really had no idea, since I struggle with being perceptive about these things even now. He’s been sending me good morning texts and also asking me about how many kids I want to have. Also he messaged me soon after I changed my name on Facebook back to my maiden name. However our conversations aren’t flirty at all, we just talk about our jobs and pets and books we’ve read.
Soooo if wondering what men think, does it sound like he’s gonna try and pursue something or like he’s just being friendly?
