Where does that leave original artists if people use their work as a basis in AI?

US copyright law says AI generated work cannot be copyrighted or trademarked.
Where does that leave you, if someone uses your art, puts it into AI, then people make work via AI in the future and don’t want to use your services?
I’m also hearing that illustrators have less work too.
Right now i am hearing that some producers now have less work due to AI producing sounds and background music.
