Do Italians take care of their parents when they get older ?
Post Body

I know that for example in south-eastern europe (balkans), it is frowned upon to send your parents to a retirement(old people's home whereas this is considered normal in let's say a country like Germany.

Italians of Italy, how does the average italian handle this affair ? Do younger generations differ from older generations in this manner ?

And how does the attitude of the average italian towards family in general differ from let's say the average person in Germany or Netherlands ?
