How to get through life being a 5’4 man?

I hope this isn’t a stupid question. Every building, every room, every place I go to.. the sounds of turning heads lead to absolute silence. Eyes fixed down on me. I'm ashamed, embarrassed, insecure. I'm a small man.. not dwarfism small... but uncomfortably small. It's socially unacceptable to be under 6ft nowadays. My feet hang when I sit on a stool to drink a beer and my pride hangs lower. How do you feel about short men in today's age?
