Is it that hard to quit smoking pot?

I hope this isn’t a stupid question. Almost everyone in my friend's group ( multiple groups) smoke weed. I have been smoking since 10 years now and I have decided to quite, because I know its killing my efficiency and drive to do something great everyday. Whenever I meet my friends I end up smoking, it's the most convenient thing for my brain to do.
