When someone says the “market is saturated” for a job I’m interested in. Should I ignore them and do it anyway?
Post Body

I’ve been through this cycle many times on Reddit. I say I’m interested in a tech/design job and someone usually says “the market is saturated, it’s hard”. This obviously discourages me and makes me no longer interested in trying.

However, I already got a job in the tech field. Apparently a “saturated” field of jobs. With this in mind, would it make sense to just.. try anyway? I’d love to apply for a design job.. something in UI/UX because it’s something I like. When I ask on here, I get the same replies, “it’s too saturated”.

Should I just do it anyway? Maybe I’ll get the job and it’s easier than expected?
