How does someone go about reinventing themselves in a new town?
Post Body

This isn't so much about how to change myself or anything. It's more about how does one go about moving long distance. I feel like I have some many roots holding me but I'd really like to move and get a fresh start so to speak. I own a condo, have a job here, all my friends are here. All that being said I'm beginning to come to terms that I need to break off my engagement (save that for another post), and the area I'm in just feels soooo... stale? Unaccepting of who I want to be? Idk tbh. I want to move somewhere with a larger LGBT community like San Francisco or LA.

In order to make a big move like this where would I even need to start? I can't afford both a mortgage and rent an apartment on my own salary and even if I could my job is not a remote position. I couldn't move without leaving my job. What sort of steps do people take when moving long distances?
