What are these tiny flies around the lights?

I'm not sure where to post this. I've been noticing lots of tiny flies around and on the lights and on the wall and flying about.
First and second time I hoovered them up and there wasn't that many then I came back downstairs a few hours later and there's a lot.
So got the fly spray and sprayed all of them and then around and inside the lights.
Any thoughts? First thought is fruit flies but they look smaller than them.
