A 60fps "spinning" ring light for photogrammetry?
Post Body

Does something like this exist? I don't quite know how to begin my search, so I'm thinking of maybe trying to put something together for this.

Basically, the thinking goes, I'd love to capture dimensions more accurately through photogrammetry. The idea is to use a ring light that cycles the leds in sequence at 60fps/chosen framerate of the camera, capturing, at high speed, the shadow information based on light position. This can be used, along with a subsystem for normalizing texture and blemishes to better understand the depth information of objects.

Say for instance, I'd like to capture the dimensions of my keyboard, perhaps I wish to laser cut a vinyl, or reprint the chassis cover: concretely, the buttons, the space between, depth and distance, would all be captured. The keys can then easily be separated from the frame of the keyboard, with greater understanding of literal edge cases such as the rounding of corners, or the profile/ergonomics of certain keycaps.

For clarity sake, this would be for photogrammetry with a regular camera, as opposite to lidar, or a multi-lens setup.

TIA!

Edit: Can anyone find fault with this approach?
