Why do people look at me when they walk past me?
Post Body

I’m a grad student who has been in the same program for 4 years. I have no friends at work and prefer it that way. I have 3-4 acquaintances who I say hello to. I’ve noticed that 9/10 people look at me when they get near me while we are walking towards each other in a hallway once they get a few feet away from me. What are they looking at? This happens on the street too. Am I the one being impolite by not looking at them and greeting them?
