I keep seeing ads everywhere where platforms will generate full books in minutes and help the person publish them on Kindle or other e-book services and even help them get them printed.
It boggles me to think of an author doing a book signing for a completely generated book that not only could be rife with grammatical errors, and inconsistencies, but they'd know nothing about it. They wouldn't be able to answer questions and I'm pretty sure any sequels would be difficult to do.
Is it even considered their IP at that point?
