I’ve been working with this girl for about 5–6 months. We’re close at work, often grabbing drinks, hanging out, and collaborating on projects. One night, while out, we ended up making out. I’d heard from a few people that she was interested, so I took a chance, and it felt like a real, romantic moment between us.
But afterward, things went off course.I didn’t text her the day after. But when I reached 2 day after, her vibe had totally changed. At work, she was distant, barely talked to me when we were working together, and even turned down a lunch invite, saying she had other plans. I thought, Okay, maybe she’s unsure about what happened, so I decided to message her, expressing that I valued our friendship and wanted things to stay good between us.
The next day, though, nothing changed. She was still cold and withdrawn. It’s frustrating because we had this unique connection, and it feels like it all vanished after that one night. I’m left wondering—did I misread something, or did making a move ruin what we had? Now, I’m just feeling stuck and disappointed, unsure of what to do to regain that energy we once had.
