Is it jus me or some people have this built-in resistance to enjoying anything recommended to them?

It's like they’re subconsciously determined to dislike whatever movie, food or music you recommend. And what's wild is that even if you like something that's perfectly in line with their interests and suggest it to them, they will still side-eye it simply because they didn’t find it first and they’ll die on that hill even if it means missing out on something great.
