Supporting the underdog - a christian revolution ?
Post Body

I recently read somewhere that before Christianity, in ancient Rome, the idea of empathizing with the underdog was a foreign concept to them. Rather, it was common practice to be for their demise and cheer on the dominant man.

Is this true historically ?

Is it also true that Christianity outlawed the practice to abandon your child in the streets if it's in some shape of form handicapped ?
